In the beach cleanups, we found tons of non biodegradable foam. We also found straws, bags, beer bottles, coke cans, food, etc. The beaches that we once thought of magical, in a few years will be once upon a time, there was a beach! These plastic cords can be attached to turtles, and as they struggle to grow they suffocate, marine innocent animals eat this garbage and die, sooner or later up to fish will die, and the food web will break, and our ecosystem will fail, and us humans wont have water to thrive on, and since the world would be so polluted, owe it all to us, we can't eat plants. So in the future, if this littering, and marine animal death proceeds, and gets worse, we'll be dead to.
And this is not just in Key Biscayne, this is already rapidly growing over the world! The book "Why Pi?" By Johnny Ball states that "The UK can fill a olympic swimming pool with trash every four minutes." Imagine this in Asia, with the biggest population. Personal experience, my stepbrother lives in Shanghai, and he has to wear a mask because it is so polluted.
